My Experience of Exploring Sant Museum in Hadshi

The recent photos of Sant Darshan Museum Hadshi on social media pulled me towards the bucket list. I had recently gone through the photos of the Sant museum and started searching more about the same and guess what? the location got added to my bucket of one-day destinations near Mumbai.

It was Sunday and I along with my wife and friends made a plan to visit this offbeat location near Mumbai. For us, the driving distance was not more than 2 hours. However, we had our own vehicle and we made a plan to visit this place. As per the plan, we started our journey from Mumbai and reached our destination. There was enough parking area where we parked the vehicle and directly moved to the temple near Sant Museum. An example of a magnificent structure perfectly suits this Pandurang temple outside the Museum. This temple is one of the attractions of Hadshi village of Mulshi Taluka. We went to see the Pandurang Temple followed by Ganesh Temple next to it. Those who are photogenic should not miss the place.

Post visit to the temple we moved to explore the Museum. One has to purchase a ticket from the counter right next to the entrance of the museum. The ticket cost is 200 INR for ages more than 10 years and 100 INR for ages between 3 years to 10 years. The entrance has a cave-like structure and as you step inside the zig-zag trail will take you through all the sculptures of the Saint. As I started going through the structures I could imagine the level of skill set used while building such an enormous museum. We started with the divine statue of Lord Ganesh at the entrance. It was dam beautiful to see that sculpture. There were small artificial waterfalls made for photo sessions. Everyone was surprised to see that waterfall in the summer season. It is one of the halts to take selfies in the waterfall background. Moving further we came to one point where the statue of Lord Shiva's family is placed. I was overwhelmed. No matter how strong you are, you will definitely have that touch with the king of God and Lord Shiva. Sant Darshan Museum tells you that Maharashtra's culture is unique and can not be found anywhere.

Bhakta Pundlik was a devoted son to his parents and Lord Vithoba blessed him, the sculpture looks so great. This museum has also shown us a small visit between Shivaji Maharaj and Sant Tukaram. A fascinating lord Saibaba cooks food for everyone which actually describes his peculiarity. As we moved forward another sculpture explained the importance of Pandharpur Wari (Dindi). As you come close to the exit point, lord Krishna sits with his beloved wife and so on. Once you explore these sculptures and exit the main gate you come across the lake offering boating in open nature and some small activities for the kids. This is the perfect destination for one who wants to go away for a day.

Ideal Time to Visit Sant Darshan Museum

Although it is a one-day destination near Mumbai Pune, it can be visited throughout the years. The best time when most tourists flock is winter time from October to February. In this period the climate is cool and pleasant to explore your destination. You can also take a photogenic break to explore nearby Mountains. June to October is monsoon time when people are busy exploring forts and waterfalls so the crowd at Muesum is very less. You will hardly find any tourists visiting here in the summertime. Since the museum has a cooler inside the caves, one does not need to worry about your visit.
