Top 5 Places To Explore Around Bhandardara-Nashik

About Bhandardara

One day, my friend and I discussed the need to get away from home and experience something that would offer a glimpse of camping, a bonfire, lush greenery, and a bit of trekking, along with a bike ride. The perfect place for this adventure was Bhandardara. We started our journey from Mumbai by bike. Driving to the hill station for the first time felt like a dream come true, especially to a place like Bhandardara.

Nestled in a valley and surrounded by lush greenery, Bhandardara is a hill station known as a holiday village. It is a popular retreat for people from Maharashtra, particularly those seeking an escape from the warm coastal climate. The stunning lake and the surrounding mountains make it a must-visit destination in Maharashtra. The village is located in the Akole Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra in India..

Earlier, this village was not as popular as it is now, but as adventurers started visiting and uploading photos on social media, it has become very popular in recent years. You wouldn't believe it, but this village is also known as the “CHHOTA KASHMIR OF MAHARASHTRA.” To see the views of the Sahyadris’ 360-degree panorama, one can climb to Ratangad Fort.

This village also boasts the beauty of Maharashtra’s highest peak, Mount Kalsubai.

Reflecting on my experience in Bhandardara, it has become my favorite place since the moment I first saw photos of it. Initially, it was not well-known, being located at the base of a local village. However, as stunning images of the area began to circulate on social media, it quickly gained popularity and became one of the most famous tourist destinations in Maharashtra.

Visiting Bhandardara should be an annual tradition, as camping there is a soul-stirring experience. The region offers a remarkable array of attractions.
